Chief Peace, a.k.a. Barrett Tarr, was raised in Moore, Oklahoma and lives in Oklahoma City’s Paseo Arts District. A prolific visual artist, Chief Peace built his reputation through constant performance, rapping as he painted graffiti murals in central Oklahoma City and eventually becoming a regular in “The Heart of Hip-Hop,” a monthly show at OKC’s Hubbly Bubbly showcasing the most innovative and dedicated hip-hop stars in the area. His single, “Hippy Kid,” became the most requested song on KKWD “Wild 104.9” in June 2016. Chief Peace is currently recording his debut album, Blue Peace, due in September 2016.
